Gigi’s Music Café is down-home diner and bar located in Sunrise, FL/Fort Lauderdale, FL. Established in 2012 by Gigi Brown, the venue has become a local go-to, known for its comfort food, intimate atmosphere, and engaging events. Opening the café was dream come true for Gigi, as it has been a life-long love of hers to bring people together to enjoy good music and great food. As a native of the Bronx, New York, for years Gigi hosted family and friends in her home, sharing her eclectic family recipes. After living Sunrise, FL for a while, she decided to recreate that “back home” feeling. Hence, Gigi’s Music Café was born, offering that same relaxing and family friendly vibe.

Gigi’s Music Cafe is a dream come to fruition for Sunrise resident Gigi Brown after she had the brilliant idea to combine her life-long love affair with great music and her delicious and eclectic family recipes that have kept friends and family clamoring for a seat at her table for years. This native New Yorker has based the menu of her first restaurant on a fusion of Classic American dishes with a twist such as her handmade “Classic Rock Burgers with Homemade Garlic and Parmesan potato fries or the “Famous Meatloaf with Homemade Mac & Cheese”. In addition to exciting daily specials, Gigi’s “Old Soul Fried Chicken and Homemade Buttermilk Waffles” will introduce this Harlem classic to a whole new audience. This boutique style cafe plans to feature local singers, musicians, bands and poets as well as host a weekly karaoke night.

The venue atmosphere is unique and effortlessly transitions from cozy and family friendly to romantic and grown and sexy as needed. The boutique style café is home to local singers and musicians, poets and comedians. With open mic nights, weekly karaoke, even dance lessons and talk events, guests are welcomed and encouraged to become a part the entertainment! Each Friday and Saturday night, the café is on fire with live music from a variety of genres from smooth jazz to soft rock or acoustic soul, filling the space with both original music and popular covers from local artists. Customers rave about Gigi’s, calling it a hidden gem with great food, beautiful decor and amazing customer service.
